Up for auction is a 1953 MG TD. There is less than 1000 test miles on a frame off restoration. The restoration was done on a very nice original car, and many of the components were preserved from the original car. It was restored as needed, and many of the parts were in nice original condition. This is a numbers matching car, the tag and stamp on the engine match the number on the tag on firewall; please see pictures.

The paint is a beautiful deep red. The body is totally rust free and straight. The fenders are nicely curved and have no bends, creases, or cracked edges. Underneath the car is as nice as it is on top. The wooden frame supports appear not to have any dry rot and are in excellent condition. They appear to be original.

The interior is absolutely beautiful; the red interior is brand new with no apparent problems. The carpets are new as well, with no tears, wear, or holes. The gauges appear to be in excellent original condition and the wood is lusturous. The odometer reads 34268. The canvas top is new. There is a complete brand new custom fit tonneau cover. The side curtains appear to be the original ones and are in nice condition.

The engine compartment is also highly detailed and very clean.
The engine was just rebuilt with new guides and valves. It runs and drives smooth.

The bumpers, luggage rack, trunk trim, light bezels, and hubcaps are in excellent condition. The front grill shroud, cap, fuel cap, windshield frame, door handles are very nice, but do show a little bit of wear, but far from offensive.

The wheels and tires are in great condition with a lot of tread remaining.

This is one the nicest MGTDs out there, and it would make either a great show car or an excellent driver.
