1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Hardtop

A California car with a clean California title. This car was in the middle of a restoration when we purchased it 6 months ago.

Body
The frame was removed, cleaned and repainted. It came with rechromed California one-piece front and rear bumpers. All the stainless and chrome are in excellent condition with a new windshield and glass. The floors appear to be in excellent condition, however the trunk floor pan has been replaced and done very well. The paint has multiple scratches and defects. There’s a dent in the front of the hood and the chrome molding is cracked.

Interior
This car will need a complete new interior. But all top bows are present. The dash and firewall appear to have been restored.

Suspension
The car has new shocks, new springs, new upper and lower ball joints, and all new tie rod ends. The rear has new springs and shocks. It has new brake lines gas lines and brakes. The tires are 25 years old.

Engine
The engine block has been bored 60 thousandth over with a 10/10 crank. It has a new oil pump, neoprene rear seal with a one-piece pan gasket, new cam bearings and cam shaft, new lifters, new push rods and rockers, timing chain and gears. We drilled the front crank and put larger harmonic balancer so we could put in a dual pulley system for air conditioning pump. It has the correct dual 4-barrel carburetors with the correct Winter’s intake with correct matching carbs that have been totally rebuilt with correct air cleaner, dual-point distributor, NOS distributor cap, Corvette valve covers, and all new Packard wires. Generator has been rebuilt. The power steering pump was rebuilt with new hoses. The radiator is missing. We will install the motor for transportation.

Transmission
This car came with a rebuilt Powerglide when we purchased it. I also have a rebuilt 3-speed overdrive with clutch linkage and shift linkage, including the shift tube.
The only thing missing is the bell crank and the support that welds to the frame.
So if you purchase this car you can choose which transmission you like.

Acceptable payment methods are Cashiers Check or Wire Transfer. Only the Deposit is payable through Paypal. When we receive payment, we will send the title immediately. When you come to pick up the vehicle, if you feel that it was misrepresented, you do not need to buy it. All we ask is that you pay us $50 to relist the vehicle. We feel that is very reasonable, and it is very important to us that the winning bidder is satisfied with the vehicle.
